The following events are open to members of the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway. Call 636-3050 to register.

Blood pressure screening will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in Room 3.

Creative writing will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, in Room 1.

A St. Patrick’s Day concert will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 17. A musical performance by Mark Mazor will be held in the Gallery.

DIY craft class will take place at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21. Attendees will be learning creative ways to fold cloth napkins. Reservations are due by Friday, March 17. There is no fee, but participants are asked to bring a cloth napkin to the program.

The following events will take place on Monday, March 6:

Mug Madness, a program allowing participants to make bread and butter pudding in a mug, will be held at 2 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a large microwaveable mug to participate. The cost is $2. Reservations and payment are required at the information desk by Friday, March 3.

Book sale in the front lobby from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Paperback books are 25 cents and hardcover books are 50 cents. Cassettes, DVDs and CDs will also cost 50 cents. The sale will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, March 10.

Beginning country line dancing at 1 p.m. in the dance room. Registration and fees apply. The class will be held at the same time on March 13, 20 and 27.

Thursday, March 2 — Chicken patty on a roll, au gratin potatoes, spinach and vanilla pudding

Friday, March 3 — Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, green beans, a dinner roll and mandarin orange

Monday, March 6 — Polish sausage, sliced potato, broccoli, corn muffin and vanilla pudding

Tuesday, March 7 — Chili with cheese, a baked potato, green beans, a dinner roll and an ice cream sandwich.

Wednesday, March 8 — Porch chop with gravy, a sweet potato, red cabbage, 12-grain roll and a Fig Newton.
