Gerard P. Styn, master carpenter


Styn Styn Gerard P. Styn, 71, of Williamsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018.

Mr. Styn was born on Oct. 10, 1946, in Buffalo. As a lifelong resident of Williamsville, he worked as a self-employed master carpenter for more than 28 years and also subcontracted for many years. After his retirement in 2012, Mr. Styn worked part time for Bison Bath and Kitchen.

A former member of the Marine Corps, Mr. Styn was a combat engineer in Vietnam. He enjoyed building and creating model trains and collecting stamps, and was an avid car buff who loved his 1971 Ford Torino GT.

Mr. Styn is survived by his wife, Rosemary (nee Galbo); three children, Kimberly Lloyd, Kristopher and Joseph; six grandchildren; and four siblings, Pat Marchant, Carol Augustyniak, Norma Cullis and Donna Singer.

A funeral service was held on Jan. 15 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church. Arrangements were made by the Amigone Funeral Home Inc.
